First Tee uses golf to teach youth life lessons and leadership skills. Sessions include a fun, group setting for youth ages 5 to 16 regardless of background or previous experience. Teaming up with experts in positive youth development, First Tee helps youth become good golfers and even better people.

Junior Summer Camp
This is a great way to improve your golf skills and make new friends in a fun and safe environment. Each day will include 3 hours of instruction, golf theory, on course time, driving range time & non golf activities.

Meet Stephen Read
CPGA Professional
Stephen’s passion for golf began at a young age. Time however was split growing up playing tennis competitively. His desire to teach and share this passion began at The Harbour View Golf Course and Recreation Complex in 1982. Hired first with a degree in outdoor Recreation from Lakehead University, Thunder Bay with a Tennis teaching certificate his CPGA apprenticeship was soon to follow. Winters were spent teaching for the city of Winnipeg Winter Golf Program (Indoor) and Learn to X Country Ski Clinics including an active Jackrabbit Family Ski Program.
Continuing education modules on swing theory, fitness, equipment fitting and sport psychology and thousands of golf lessons taught to accommodate a variety of levels of ability and ages have helped hone his skills.
Stephen believes that from a consistent solid foundation in the set up a more powerful consistent shot pattern can be achieved. Understanding the importance of grip, posture, alignment and ball position to this foundation is essential.

From this foundation each student can maximize their potential and enjoyment of the game through proper practice and play. Every effort is made to relate to each student where they are at and assist them to reach both short and long term goals. Previous golf experience is not a requirement.
Private, semi private, group classes and playing lessons are available.
